MARY'S BOY CHILD, JESUS CHRIST, WAS BORN ON CHRISTMAS DAY AND MAN CAN LIVE FOREVERMORE BECAUSE OF CHRISTMAS DAY

Mary's Boy Child, Jesus Christ, Was Born On Christmas Day And Man Can Live Forevermore Because Of Christmas Day

The year, 1978. T'was just a few days after the U.S. Thanksgiving when Boney M released their cover of the 1956 song by Jester Hairston:

“Mary's Boy Child”

And though I was not raised in a Christian home ( this is not to say it was a pagan, heathen or satanic home, it just wasn't a Christian home) I did hear, as far back as I can remember about G-d the Father, the creation of Adam and Eve. The flood of Noah's day, Jonah, and the big Fish, and perhaps the grandest of all Biblical stories - G-d's Son, Jesus, was born. And born of a virgin, at that!

I grew up hearing, believing ( really never actually doubting, not even a little ) that Jesus lived and ministered to people for three / three and a half years; that He died for us, and our sins ( although I had no idea what that meant ); that He was buried, and on the third day He was Raised from the dead ( He IS Risen ); and that He will come again.

This cover by Boney M, of the 1956 song by Jester Hairston, was released when I was 16, just after the US Thanksgiving, in 1978. From the moment I first heard the song, I found these lyrics profoundly intriguing:

“Oh my Lord, You sent Your son to save us

Oh my Lord, Your very self You gave us

Oh my Lord, That sin may not enslave us

And love may reign once more”

My eldest sister was either in the midst of being or had just freshly been – “kicked out of the Kingdom¹ ” - because, at least in part because, my two nephews 13-ish and 15, weren't “living the lives of good JW's in their community”.  My sister, a single mother, was given an ultimatum, “get those boys under control, or you're excommunicated!”

My sister chose freedom and ultimately life too and left the JW's.  Now, if you're wondering what the lines from the song, I quote above, have to do with my late sister, her sons, and her departure from the JW religious machine, the answer is simple - JW's deny the Holy Trinity.  I grew up hearing tidbits from my sister about Christ Jesus, our Lord, all based upon the JW perspective.  And when I first heard the lines:

Oh my Lord, You sent Your son to save us

Oh my Lord, Your very self You gave us

Something, I can explain it, but something jumped inside of me.  I can recall talking to my sister at Christmas, about those words, and she was a tad distant, and didn't really say much. I do recall several Christmases past, where my folks and I, a couple of my older brothers, and their families, along with my eldest sister and her family would share time at Christmas, and my sister's JW views oftentimes made celebrating December 25th... a challenge.  I do not share this disparage my late sister, or otherwise sully her good memory, rather I share this to say that - along with growing up hearing about creation, the flood of Noah's day, Jonah and the big Fish, and perhaps the grandest of all Biblical stories - G-d's Son, Jesus, being born of a virgin, I also grew up hearing ( with great frequency ) that Jesus was NOT born on December 25th.

That point is significant, especially to me in this day-and-age, as religious, elitist, Groups are placing increased emphasis on - Jesus was NOT born on December 25th - while ignoring the far, far more salient point:

G-d became Incarnate, G-d became a man!

Anyways, I digress... as time rolled forward, over the next four years, from November 1978 through December 1982, that song had an increasingly profound impact on me.  It was for Christmas, 1982, that my eldest sister ( no longer a prisoner of the JW' cult, Hallelu-Yah!!! but also not yet had she surrendered her life to Christ ) gave me a Holy Bible.  My sister knew that I was seeking, and gave me a Bible for Christmas, 1982, how cool is ^^^ that?

Then, very, very late on December 31st, almost midnight, 1982, I began crying out to G-d, desperately seeking G-d's ( Christ's ) presence in my life.  A fleeting, very few short seconds after Midnight New Years Eve, a.k.a. less than a full minute even, I was suddenly flooded with doubts.  Doubts I've shared a couple of times at a Thursday Night Biker's Group @ 2911 Church in Tempe, AZ.  Doubts about the Great flood of Noah's day, the story of Jonah, David and Goliath, the virgin birth and yes, even the Resurrection.

Those doubts were bizarrely profound to me, largely because I'd never had any doubts about any of those various Biblical accounts, ever, before.  The agony of the doubts weighed on me for 45 to perhaps 90 seconds, and then BAM ( as Chef Emeril John Lagassé III, would say ) like a flood², driven by the Ruach HaKodesh, Adonai's comfort came over me like a rushing stream², and I began to laugh.

Now, remember, I'd never doubted any of this, even for a moment for nearly 21 years, and all of a sudden, I was burdened with agonizing doubts.  And then, just as suddenly, by the power G-d the Holy Ghost, I was comforted with a peace that, to this very day, is beyond all descriptions³, and yes... I began to laugh, and laugh as I shouted ( moments past Midnight, New Years Day, 1983 ) – “Hallelu-Yah, G-d my saviour!” - and – “Ha! Satan you think you’re so clever, you liar, you.  Funny, how for nearly 21 years, I'd never doubted, and now suddenly after giving my heart Jesus, your very creator, I become flooded with doubts?  Ha!”

So, there I sat... some 40 odd days shy of my 21st birthday ( I'd never considered the 40 days thing before just now... hmmm. Significant?  I don't know... interesting? You bet! ) alone, less than five minutes after midnight New Years Day, 1983, and I just knew, that I knew, that I *KNEW* Jesus had become Lord of my life, Master of my heart, and Saviour of my soul.

Oh, and my eldest sister... elder by 25 full years, in 1986, some three and a bit years after I became a Christian, surrendered her life to Yeshua's Lordship, thus becoming my "little sister" in Christ!  I am also excited to share that my eldest sister continued her walk with Christ for 30+ years, until she passed away in October 2016.  Although she's no longer with us, in this earthly realm, she is, undoubtedly, with our Lord, Maker and Saviour right now, in Paradise⁴!

Shalom, and thank you to my friends Jack, Jacob, Bradley, Jadin who've heard me share of my "never doubted, even for a moment" story.  Thank you to Shepherd, my President and in many ways, my Pastor, for encouraging me.  While I continue to struggle with the process of finding ways to share things, such as what I wrote out above, I celebrate the fact that I have the opportunity to write the above out and share it across numerous Social Media platforms.  Shalom, Shalom!!

Please remember folks that, there's just absolutely #noKnowledgeAbsentGd!

“No Jesus, NO peace” and yet, “Know Jesus, KNOW peace.”

How does one get to “know” Jesus?  Simple, invite Him into your heart, as Jesus says: “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.” [Revelation 3:20 NIV]  How can be assured that this Jesus stuff means anything?  Well because the Bible tells us so, as the Apostle Paul wrote:

“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” [Romans 10:9-10 NIV]

And for those of you who say to me, I can’t be bothered reading the Bible, “it’s confusing” or “it’s a waste of my time”, may I draw your attention to what the Bible says about wisdom: “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” [Proverbs 9:10 NIV]

If nothing else, PLEASE read two chapters from the Bible – ( You don’t own one? Sorry NO excuse, if you’re reading this, you can access this: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%203:16&version=NIV ) John 3 and John 14!

John 3:16 says: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

And John 14:6 says: “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me.”

FROM JACOB ( YA’AKOV, IN TANAKH OR THE “OLD TESTAMENT” ) ( יעקב ) TO JAMES

From Jacob ( Ya’akov, in TaNaKh or the “Old Testament” ) ( יעקב ) to James

It has been suggested, by the author(s) of an introduction to the New Testament Book commonly known as James ( in both Protestant and Roman Catholic English Bibles ) in the “Tree of Life Version” ( TLV ) published by the “Tree Of Life Bible Society” of the Holy Bible, that:

"Some say that the book[sic] was renamed to honor King James for funding, in 1611 ..." - See Figure i

Figure i

I do not mean this in any sort of disrespectful way, but it is my very sincere view, a.k.a. Dabauzstake ( my opinion ) that the “Translation Team of The Tree Of Life Version” of the Holy Bible is grossly mistaken, yes… flat out WRONG even, in their uncited claims that – “Some say that the book[sic] was renamed to honor King James for funding, in 1611 ...” – see Figure ii. The KJV Bible is many things, including far from being perfect, inerrant or even “the one good enough for the Apostle Paul7”, but…  But, the KJV did not have the name of Jacob, changed to James at the behest of king James.  Nor was the KJV the first English Bible to render Jacob / Ya’akov ( יעקב ) as James, for either the text found in Galatians 1:19, or the name of the New Testament Book “James”.

Figure ii

Here are four (4) reasons for my opinion.

There are three primary reasons, and one lesser reason, for why I hedge, or hesitate, on the ideology that king James was the first to change Ya’akov ( יעקב ) to James, let alone that king James maliciously took the name Ya’akov ( יעקב ) and changed it to James, because he was funding the KJV Bible:

First - Roman Catholicism... this is not meant as a slight against Roman Catholicism, rather an observation.  Roman Catholicism is no friend of Protestantism on many levels.  Thus I have a hard time believing that the various English versions of the Roman Catholic Bibles would translate Galatians 1:19 using the name James, instead of Jacob / Ya’akov ( יעקב ) if it truly was a malicious change by king James and his cohorts...

That ^^^ just by itself is obviously not even remotely conclusive, but I think it is worthy of contemplation.  Even if it is largely anecdotal in nature.

Second - There is an argument to be made that the Latin, Iacomus  (or Jacomus ) was adapted by the French which they truncated into Gemmes ( or Jammes ).  Then, from there, the English took it and made it James¹.  The Bible française du XIIIe siècle⁶ was written sometime after A.D. 1220 nearly 400 years before the KJV was written, and almost 350 years before king James was even born².

Third - John Wickliffe and colleagues began the translation work in the 1370s³.  "In the 14th century, John Wycliffe made the first Bible translation into English and translated Iakobus as James. ( However, in both the Old and New Testaments he arbitrarily used the name Jacob for the patriarch ). In all future English translations the name stuck⁴."  This late 14th century English rendering, A.D. 1382, pre-dates the birth of king James by more than 180 years.

The second and third points aren't 100% unwaveringly conclusive, but I think they are compelling points.  Collectively, I think that all three together make a great case for not arguing that – ‘The change from of Jacob / Ya’akov ( יעקב ) to James, was something king James initiated, caused or even inspired.’

A fourth interesting point, in support of why I remain hesitant to accept the uncited claim by the author(s) of the introduction to the New Testament Book commonly known as James, in the TLV Bible, is that, "... the name James means the same exact thing as Jacob - “supplanter” or substitute ..."⁵  I definitely believe that this is a worthwhile point to ponder.

Shalom to you all

ONE, ONE-THOUSANDTH OF 1 PERCENT IDENTIFIED

one, one-thousandth of 1 percent identified

#‎RAD #‎ATEND G-d (Christ) #‎IIC714

Have we, really, only identified one, one-thousandth of 1 percent of species living on Earth today?

Let's L@@K and see, and consider a few things... shall we?

Study suggests that 99.999% of presently *LIVING* species remain - undiscovered!  Meaning that, a mere one, one-thousandth of 1 percent (0.001% or 0.00001) of all living species have been, allegedly, identified!

“Indiana University researchers find Earth may be home to 1 trillion species Largest-ever analysis of... - https://bit.ly/3YpIQOt - ...microbial data reveals an ecological law concluding 99.999 percent of species remain undiscovered”

The implications of such an astronomically high number of presently living species, in view of the past, so-called, “Five Mass Extinctions”, wherein, allegedly, some 99.9%1 of all past living species have been driven to extinction, are almost incomprehensible.

Even using a meager 50% attrition rate, there'd have to have been over two trillion species at some point in Earth's, alleged, 4.5-billion-year history.  But at a 99.9% extinction rate, that number balloons to a staggering - 10¹⁵ - past living species.  That is a 1 followed by 15 zeros, or one quadrillion species... 😂🤣😅

That ^^^ said, folks, utilizing a “doubling rate” of once every 114,000,000 years, we'd see #LUCA go from One species (first life) to two ( #LUCA2 ?) over the first 114 million years.  Then, over the next 886 million years we'd see an additional eight “doubling” events.  This would give us #LUCA3 through LUCA1,024, as time passed the first One Billion Years.  Then, over the next 2.3 billion years (leading up to just before the First Mass Extinction, some c.~3.3 billion years ago) we'd see LUCA1 through LUCA1,024 literally explode to Species2.68*10^8 giving us some c.~ 2.68*108 living species as we entered the “dark” days of the *FIRST* of the dreaded “Five Mass Extinctions”.

Over the next c.~ 400 million years, Earth would experience devastation that would make all of the woke 21st century's - “it's all man's fault” - BS, look like child's play!  Although the next c.~ 400 million years, from c.~ 450 million years ago to c.~ 65 million years ago, would give rise to some c.~ 470 million new species, sadly the “Five Mass Extinctions” would obliterate nearly Three-Quarters of a billion (c.~ 750,000,000) of Earth's precious species.  As the fifth of the “Five Mass Extinctions” saw its conclusion, our Earth would be left with c.~ 5.1 million living species (one of which might be your "great" uncle Joe!)

Utilizing the c.~ 114 million year doubling rate we can see that in the intervening 65 million years, since the demise of the Dino's, would conveniently give us c.~ 9 million living species by A.D. 2023, approximately 100,000 more than what scientists estimate (notwithstanding the assertion Indiana University's study2 from A.D. 2016) of some c.~ 8.9 million living species today!

You can call Christianity a myth, all you want... that changes nothing... the myth....

The real myth is… claiming that - G-d (Jesus) never existed...

Adam to Moses in 560 Words

Adam to Moses in 560 Words

Adam to Moses in 560 Words (see footnotes)

In the beginning, nearly 5,781 years (+/- 150 years) ago

In the beginning, nearly 5,781 years ago, in the year 1 Anno Mundi (AM) (perhaps referred to as “year zero” ∅) or about 3,850 BC, +/- 150 years, G-d (Christ), Elohim, created hashomayim (the Heavens, Himel) and haaretz (the Earth). – Bereshis (Genesis) 1:1, see also Shemot (Exodus) 20:11 & Shemot (Exodus) 31:17

Some c.~ 1,656 years later1

Some c.~ 1,656 years later, in the year 1656 AM +/- 75 years, or about 2205 BC +/- 75 years, “In the six hundredth year of Noach’s (Noah’s) life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep burst open, and the floodgates of Shomayim (the Heavens) were opened.” – Bereshis (Genesis) 7:11  Over the course of the next 40 days - “… kol basar (all flesh) perished that moved upon ha’aretz, (Every living thing that moved on land perished) both of Oph, and of Behemah, and of Beast, and of every Swarming Thing that swarms upon ha’aretz, and kol haadam; (birds, livestock, wild animals, all the creatures that swarm over the earth, and all mankind.)” - Bereshis (Genesis) 7:21

Roughly a year later, in the year 1657 AM +/- 75 years, or about 2204 BC, the flood waters had receded sufficiently for Noah and his sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, and their wives, along with the myriad animals on the Ark, to disembark, and began their new lives.4

In the year 1657 AM +/- 75 years, or 2204 BC +/- 75 years, with the flood waters receding, about a year after the flood began, in 1656 AM we read - “And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the mayim (water) were dried up from off ha’aretz (Earth); and Noach removed the mikhseh (covering) of the tevah (ark), and looked, and, hinei (saw that), the surface of the adamah (ground) was dry.” – Bereshis (Genesis) 8:13 - 18

The descendants of Adam, from Day Six, in 1 AM through c.~ 1656 AM, had to be (at a minimum) several Two Billion3.  Much more likely, several billion, with at least a statistical chance at nearly 10 trillion4.  Yet… only eight (8) humans survived.  Alas, I digress, back to tracing humankind from Adam to Moses.

From the conclusion of the flood, through to the birth Abraham, the timeframe encompasses nearly 4005 years (393 years), bringing us to 2,050 AM (years since the creation of Adam), or roughly 1811 BC.  In the c.~ 400 years from Shem to Abraham, we have some characters of notable notoriety, namely Nimrod6, Job7 and of course a Pharaoh8 or two!

Continuing our quest of tracing humankind from Adam to Moses, now will need to peruse a few different Chapters from Genesis, to follow the genealogies.  From Abraham to Joseph, we have approximately 250 years9.  (Jacob’s name was changed to Israel10)  This brings us to about 2,300 AM, or roughly 1561 BC.  For the final three people, in this review of the line from Adam to Moses, being Kohath, Amram and then Moses, we need to work backwards a little bit from when history tells us Moses lived11, and take into account three other things, A) - that Moses is actually a descendent of Levi’s (Levi is Joseph’s older brother12), and not a descendant of Joseph, B) - that up to this point in the process of tracking Adam to Moses, we have already covered a timespan of some c.~ 2,300 years out of a total c.~ 2,500 years +/- 75 years since Adam (leaving only about c.~200 years +/- 50 years), and C) of the c.~ 425 years from Abraham to Moses, we have covered some c.~ 250 years, ergo… once again, we have approximately 175 years +/- 25 years left unaccounted for.  With A, B and C in mind, let us now consider the info we do have.

Moses, we are told, lived to be 12013 years of age.   If pick a single date, say 126714 BC (out of a date range of 1472 BC - 1251 BC) for estimating Moses’ year of death, taking what we know about Moses being 12013 years old when he passed away, we can approximate his year of birth at c.~ 1491 BC (this would also equate to approximately 2,370 AM) these numbers would move, smaller or larger with the date ranges provided, depending on source(s) relied on.  Continuing this process

“No Jesus, NO peace” and yet, “Know Jesus, KNOW peace”

If nothing else, PLEASE read two chapters from the Bible – (don’t own one, sorry NO excuse, if you’re reading this, you can access this: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%203:16&version=NIV) John 3 and John 14!

John 3:16 says: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

And John 14:6 says: “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

7 - Job - Was Job a contemporary of Moses?  Was Job a contemporary of Abraham?  Did Job possibly live before the great deluge? This author, who for various reasons he will not go into in the context of this article, does not believe that the prospects of Job being antediluvian are of any substantive significance.  That said, here are some articles for review - "Did Job live before Abraham or before Noah?" - https://bit.ly/3zz4Nyh - Chicago Bible Students and "Is Job included on the Bible Timeline?" - https://bit.ly/3xvFjQQ - Amazing Bible Timeline with World History, by Margaret Hunter, 2013 © and "When and Where did Job Live?" - https://bit.ly/3cQZrET - Truth Watchers, By Heath Henning, 2018 © and "DID JOB LIVE BEFORE OR AFTER THE FLOOD IN NOAH’S DAY?" - https://bit.ly/3iOHU41 - American Bible Society, and "Job" - https://bit.ly/2U9G3wl - Institute for Creation Research

20 Abraham had Isaac 100 – vs 5 (Genesis 21)

21 Isaac to Jacob (later, Jacob’s name was changed to Israel10) 60 – vs 26 (Genesis 25)

22 Jacob to Joseph 91 – vs Genesis 47:28, 41:46 & 45:6

We get, if we add the ages of the first named sons, beginning with Abraham’s son through to the birth of Joseph, c.~ 250 (251) years.  Adding 250 to the previously established 2,050, we arrive at – c.~ 2,300 years from Adam’s creation to Joseph’s birth, or c.~ 1561 BC.

10 - Jacob undergoes a name change, and is henceforth known as Israel - Genesis 32:22 - 32

11 - For Moses, according to - https://bit.ly/3wwRGvI - “The World History Encyclopedia” we are told ‘Moses lived around 1400 BC’, additionally Mr. William G. Dever (2001). Wrote - What Did the Biblical Writers Know and When Did They Know It?  What Archeology Can Tell Us About the Reality of Ancient Israel. Wm. B. Eerdmans Publishing. p. 99. ISBN 978-0-8028-2126-3. “A Moses-like figure may have existed somewhere in southern Transjordan in the mid-late 13th century s.c., where many scholars think the biblical traditions concerning the god Yahweh arose.” – emphasis in bold and underscored, mine

12 - Levi born to Jacob’s wife Leah - Genesis 35:23

13 - Moses died at the age of 120 - Deuteronomy 34:7

14 - From History and Genesis, “Estimates from historical records and Biblical texts in 199 words”

22 - Jacob to Levi 67 – estimated year of birth, 1585 BC (or 2,276 AM), for Levi

23 - Levi to Kohath 20 – estimated year of birth, 1565 BC (or 2,296 AM), for Kohath - interestingly about four years before Joseph was born

24 - Kohath to Amram 42 – estimated year of birth, 1523 BC (or 2,338 AM), for Amram

And finally, 25 - Amram to Moses 136 – estimated year of birth, 1387 BC (or 2,474 AM), for Moses.

We get, if we add the ages of these three people (excluding Levi), 20 + 42 + 136 = 198 years, bearing in mind that the ages listed are estimates.  Yes, the 67 years for Levi are not counted, because Levi’s 67 years are already included in (and therefore counted with) the 250 years described in Note 9 above.  Taking away Moses’ 120 years before passing away, and we arrive at an estimated year of death of 1267 BC.  Adding 198 to the previously established 2,276 when Levi was born, we arrive at – c.~ 2,476 years from Adam’s creation to Moses’ birth, or c.~ 1387 BC.
